Do I have to get on a call?

No. Starter is fully self-serve — sign up, connect your bank, pick your close day, and you're done. No phone calls, no sales demo.

How fast can I start?

Minutes to set up. You'll see your first monthly report after your first close date, reviewed and approved by a real US bookkeeper before it's published.

Who actually does my bookkeeping?

A dedicated bookkeeper based in the US is assigned to your account — not a rotating call center. They review every transaction and approve every report before you see it. You can message them directly from your portal when something comes up.

Is my bank login safe?

Yes. Your bank connection is read-only and your credentials never touch SynapseBooks — they're handled by an industry-standard secure provider. We can see transactions to keep your books current; we can never move money.

What will I see each month?

A simple dashboard with trend charts plus published monthly reports: money that came in, money that went out, and what was left over. The goal is clarity, not a wall of accounting jargon.

Why does onboarding ask for business address and structure?

Those are the basics we need to set your books up correctly. Accurate answers upfront mean fewer back-and-forth messages later.

How long until things feel "caught up"?

It depends on how much history we need to organize and how quickly your accounts are linked. We will give you a realistic timeline after onboarding — no vague "soon."

How do you keep my data secure?

Your account is protected with encrypted sign-in (HTTPS everywhere), password requirements, and rate limits on login and contact requests to reduce abuse. Bank connections use industry-standard secure providers — we never store your bank login credentials. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest through our cloud infrastructure. Access to client records is limited to authorized staff who work on your account. We do not sell your personal information. Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. Plans are month-to-month unless we tell you otherwise at checkout. Cancel anytime from the Pricing page or contact us — access lasts through the period you already paid for.

Who owns my data?

You do. We process it to deliver the service. If you leave, we follow our retention and export practices described in the privacy policy.
